Head Red

This unique sculpture carved in Staffordshire sandstone emphasises the natural qualities of the material, the rich deep colour suggested the obvious title "Red Head".

Caron has carved several head sculptures with flowing hair, this theme developed after she viewed tiny pottery figures in Cyprus which bring protection and blessings to the owner.
