The Chapel of Rest at St. Georges Trust Hospital in London was designated for refurbishment; and Caron was commissioned to create a low relief for display
within the garden to provide a calm environment in which to grieve.
The triptych panels were created using Portland limestone, the design represent the journey after death,
hopefully the image will relate to many different faiths in that we all go on a journey after death either by returning to
the earth as pure elements or by our celestial body travelling to our own personal heaven.
All artwork created for this project was been created after consultation with hospital staff to provide a visually stimulating but calm environment in which to
work. The commission was arranged by Hunter Design Associates in conjuction with The King's Fund which is an independent charitable organisation working to improve health and care in England.
